Rent a Space expands into Marsden Park

Family-owned business Rent a Space is expanding our network of self storage facilities into Sydney’s north-west growth area at Marsden Park.

Purpose built and well positioned to serve the needs of the residents and businesses in Marsden Park and the surrounding growth corridors of Sydney’s North West, construction has commenced at 11 Ultimo Place, just off Richmond Road opposite the Marsden Brewhouse.

The new development will mark Rent a Space’s 14th self storage facility serving the Sydney basin with a further three new sites in planning for Casula, Oran Park and a regional expansion to Queanbeyan.

As construction progresses, locals will see the bright orange and grey colours of Rent a Space heralding the exciting arrival of one of the most modern and smartly designed self storage sites in Australia.

Stage one of our new Marsden Park facility will feature over 500 rentable self-storage spaces and will include many state-of-the-art customer conveniences,” said four-time Olympian and General Manager of Rent a Space, Thomas Whalan. “It has been designed to meet the highest customer expectations. Local businesses and residents will find the look, quality and security of our new site very appealing.”

In the past, storage facilities offered simple, no-frills solutions, but today’s customers expect more – more accessibility, more security, more additional amenities, high-quality construction materials and industrial grade locks, good lighting, coded entry doors and alarm systems, and secure perimeter fencing. These sophisticated features are the hallmarks of our new development.

Catering to both personal and business storage, Rent a Space Marsden Park will offer a variety of storage solutions, with sizes ranging from 1m
2 lockers up to 27m2 units. The larger units are about the size of a double garage and can comfortably store the complete contents of a family home or several hundred business archive boxes, inventory or bulky tools and equipment.

We offer our customers a complimentary truck and driver move in service, trolleys and free box trailer, and we sell boxes and packaging supplies to help make the move in process easier. Covered loading bays to help keep customers and their possessions out of the elements will be a feature of the new site along with a dedicated meeting room, complete with amenities.

Sydney’s growing north west region is a very vibrant place to live and work and we’re excited to support the growth of this exciting location.

There is an increasing demand for self-storage as it offers enormous convenience and flexibility, regardless of what you are storing. Many homes just don’t have enough storage space, resulting in the garage and spare room being repurposed and cluttered. Customers are looking for a solution that allows them to store personal items they don’t have room for at home or to supplement their warehouse and improve the efficiency of their supply chain. Tradesmen often use self-storage as their tool shed to store bulky equipment and supplies.

We have started a waitlist for the popular driveway units which are usually the quickest to fill up when we open a new store but if residents of Marsden Park need storage now, Rent a Space would be happy to help them with a unit at one of our other properties until the Marsden Park site is completed.
